The Charity World Challenge – Run 5K to Raise 5K – is a fun-filled 3.1 mile run/walk to support the program efforts of the 501c3 not-for-profit organization, Charity World. Packed with dynamic challenges for our participants, the event will raise funds to provide food, clothing, shelter, health and education for poor, distressed and underprivileged individuals. The Charity World Challenge is an informal racing event, incorporating hills, flats and exercise challenges at every mile marker. The race starts and ends at the Rancho San Diego Farmers Market, located on the Cuyamaca Community College Campus. Challenges are optional and intensity levels vary for runners and walkers. The Charity World Challenge is a point-based game, with points earned based on racing time and challenge completion success. Charity World Challenge Champions accumulate the most points and top finishers will receive trophies and medals. Every registered participant will receive a goodie bag and a t-shirt. The Charity World Challenge will be held rain or shine and this is not a certified course with a timing system. The Charity World Challenge starts at 9am while the 500 yard mini-challenge for children starts at 8:30am.
