Cinco De Mayo Trail Run Coverage 2013
Published on May 4th, 2013
This morning we had the honor of joining many San Diegans around the county at the 5k/10k Cinco De Mayo trail run. The staff were the kindest people and everyone at the event had a great time.
If you are a veteran runner you may be thinking to yourself… Just a 5k and 10k. Well, this is not your average 5k – 10k. You will be hiking, running, and slowing yourself down the steep hills around Poway Lake.
Everyone we spoke with at the event said that they didn’t expect the course to be so strenuous. We seem to think that’s a good thing, but even if you are new to running or hiking you’ll have to mark this event on your calendars next year. You can always start off with the 5k, go at your own pace, and enjoy the beautiful Poway Lake scenery.
We were there with our booth handing out KIND snacks, free water, and our monthly flyer for the month of May. We got to meet a lot of new people, get a little bit of exercise, and soak in the excellent weather.
