The 4th is coming up! That means lots of BBQ’s and fireworks! These are all great events. Pick one near or far but don’t miss this day to celebration our freedom!

We recommend starting a healthy tradition and starting off the fourth with a healthy event! Here are a few you can pick from:


Big-Bay-BoomBig Bay Boom
When:
Fireworks @ 9PM

You may have heard about this famous show know for its outstanding show and its very famous mishap last year. Come out and see a show bigger and better than any in the past! You can see this show from the bay, piers in Imperial Beach, Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach.


Cabrillo-National-MonumentCabrillo National Monument

6:30PM to 10:30PM

1800 Cabrillo Memorial Drive

Join others for the best view in the city! Watch atop the Cabrillo National Monument over the city and have the best seat in town for the fireworks!

What’s more American than packing a picnic, playing in the ocean and sand while watching the Big Bay Boom from OB? Grab your blanket and get their early!


Old-Town-San-Diego-Fourth-of-JulyOld Town Celebration

Come to Old Town to kick off your 4th festivities and enjoy a parade, crafts, activities and more! This will be a recreation of an old fashioned 4th equipped with wagon rides, period games, music, food specials, pie-eating contest and more.


Coronado-Fourth-of-July-EventCoronado Fireworks

10AM to 9PM

Where:
Parade: Orange Avenue
Concert: Spreckels Park
Fireworks: Glorietta Bay

Make a day out of your 4th in Coronado! A parade will march down Orange Avenue at 10AM followed by a concert in Spreckels Park at 4PM all to be wrapped up by a amazing fireworks display over Glorietta Bay at 9PM!


Julian-Fourth-of-July-CelebrationJulian 4th of July Parade

10AM to 4PM

Where:
Along Main Street from Julian High School to Frank Lane Park

Julian, the little town filled to the brim with character, presents a homegrown event that celebrates the town’s gold rush era history, the dedication of veterans and active duty military who serve our country!

What a great way to spend the fourth with your family. Pack a picnic, and grab a blanket to enjoy a day full of music, magicians, baton twirlers, kid-friendly activities, contests and then sit back and enjoy the fireworks.


SD-County-FairSD County Fair (Del Mar) –

9AM to 9PM

Del Mar, CA 92014

Enjoy your fourth at the final day of the SD County Fair! Independence Day will feature the Hometown Heroes parade, patriotic contests, pro wrestling, other great entertainment. Patriotic opening begins at 9:30AM followed by Hometown Heroes Parade at 7PM, and a concert provided by the Navy Band Southwest followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 9PM.


USS-Midway-FireworksUSS Midway Museum

How patriotic to spend your fourth on the USS Midway watching the Big Bay show on the 4th of July on the deck of the ship! There will be family activities and live entertainment.
